Beyond the Courtroom

MCM attorneys and staff proudly participate in many causes and activities in our Polk County communities.  Here's what we're up to lately:

Komen Florida Suncoast Polk Race for the Cure

Miller, Crosby & Miller is a proud mile-marker sponsor of the first annual Komen Florida Suncoast Polk Race for the Cure (January 14, 2012).

Alzheimer's Association 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer's

We're a route sponsor of Lakeland's Walk to End Alzheimer's, a 1.5-mile walk around Lake Mirror. This event took place on October 29 and supported a cause near to many of our hearts. It was a rainy day, but MCM was there! Make a donation, start a team, or register here.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Lakeland & Mulberry

Sozon Vatikiotis, a fairly new dad himself, is helping improve the lives of more than 2,000 local kids by serving on the Corporate Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lakeland & Mulberry. The Boys & Girls Clubs help disadvantaged youth by providing affordable programs to enrich their lives in the areas of the arts, sports, character education, and much more.

Peace River Center

As a committee member for the Peace River Center's Full Moon Howl event (coming February 11, 2012!), Sozon Vatikiotis shows our firm's support of the Peace River Center's mission and services to the community. More information on this exciting event is coming soon!

American Legion Auxiliary

Our receptionist, Paula Stone, volunteers dozens of hours of her time to help our community's veterans, military, and youth through the efforts of the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Florida. The American Legion Auxiliary honors the sacrifice of all those who serve our country by enhancing the lifes of our veterans, military, and their families, and promotes patriotism for future generations by educating and mentoring our youth on good citizenship.

Fraternal Order of Eagles 4356

Through the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4356 in Lakeland, whose motto is "People Helping People," Paula Stone is deeply involved in fundraising for many local organizations. Just to name a few, the Eagles have raised money or gathered other donations for the Shriner's Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, the Alzheimer's Association, the Peace River Center, the SPCA, Lighthouse Ministries, the American Cancer Society, the Sheriff's Boys and Girls Villa, and many others!
